The XIII Carrera de Empresas València by CYES once again exceeded all expectations on the morning of Sunday, May 4, with a record participation of 10,577 registered runners, further consolidating its status as one of the benchmark mass participation races on the Valencian running calendar.
The event, organised by Grupo Nostresport, featured two RFEA-certified race distances. Of the total registrations, 59% took part in the 5K and 41% in the 10K. According to provisional results, a total of 8,124 athletes crossed the finish line: 3,300 in the 10K and 4,824 in the 5K.
In terms of gender distribution, female participation accounted for 38% of the field, while male participation represented 62%.
Individual Winners
The day was particularly memorable thanks to the outstanding competitive level on display. All four overall race records were broken across both categories and distances:
🏅 Men’s 10K: Germán Císter Lázaro (Decathlon) – 00:31:31. New course record.
🏅 Women’s 10K: Lucía Valero Garrido (365 Rider) – 00:35:45. New course record.
🏅 Men’s 5K: Edison Castellano (Iberdrola) – 00:15:33.
🏅 Women’s 5K: Aria Aberley-Barker (Individual) – 00:17:55.
Team and Inclusive Categories
The final team and inclusive standings will be published within the next couple of days once any potential timing-related incidents have been reviewed and resolved.
Awards Ceremony
The official awards ceremony will take place next Thursday, April 16, at 7:00 p.m. at Teatre La Plazeta, where the top teams and participants of this edition will be recognised.
